Although you will not find the specific term “inner healing” or “heart healing” there are scriptures that show Jesus cares for us and wants us to walk in wholeness.
Healing the brokenhearted and setting free the oppressed (Luke 4:18)
Confessing sins to another and receiving prayer from them (James 5:16)
Taking thoughts captive (2 Corinthians 10:5)
Forgiving (Ephesians 4:32)
Bearing one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2)
Growing up in all things into Christ by speaking truth (Ephesians 4:15)
Is Inner Healing like traditional counseling?
An inner healing session involves prayer and experiencing the presence of Jesus. Inner healing sessions are different from a traditional therapy appointment in that we ask God to be an active participant. We will address biblical truths to bring about healing, restoration, purpose and freedom!
Inner healing works on healing soul wounds,, also known as emotional wounds or traumas, that can be caused by experiences that are too difficult for an individual to handle and cope with. Such experiences can include physical, emotional, or sexual abuse, accidents, or other forms of physical or emotional pain.
Didn’t Christ finish the work on the cross?
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” (Romans 12:2)
Renewing your mind means interpreting life through the lens of God’s Word and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. We are not to look through the lens of ours wounds and trauma and life experiences.
Who needs Inner Healing?
We all do! Inner healing is powerful and essential for the Body of Christ because it addresses the emotional wounds and trauma that hinders our spiritual growth. This keeps us from experiencing the fullness of our relationship with Jesus. Do you struggle with anxiety, depression, lack of fulfillment, wondering why you can’t walk in your destiny? Inner healing is for you!

"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Psalm 147:3
